My journey into Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy (QCH) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) began around five years ago, driven by a desire to better understand people and communicate more effectively. Along the way, I explored the work of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, before discovering the philosophy of Sydney Banks, which shaped my understanding of how our thoughts influence our experience of life.
This sparked a deeper curiosity, leading me to immerse myself in NLP, applying practical techniques to shift my own thinking, perspective, and behaviour. My learning continued through the work of Milton Erickson, whose approach to hypnosis underpins much of modern hypnotherapy today.
Wanting to turn theory into real-world impact, I trained with the Quest Institute, where I qualified with a Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) in Cognitive Hypnotherapy, alongside becoming a certified NLP Practitioner.
Alongside my practice, I work within a large IT software organisation, where these skills have had a profound impact. Professionally, they’ve helped me build confidence in high-pressure situations—whether presenting, leading, or engaging with senior stakeholders. Personally, they’ve given me a deeper understanding of myself, my patterns, and how to continue growing with clarity and purpose.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, often using NLP techniques to stay focused and perform under pressure and spending time outdoors, particularly walking and exploring new coastal areas.
Now qualified, I’m passionate about helping others create meaningful change, whether that’s overcoming anxiety, building confidence, or stepping forward into new opportunities with greater ease and self-belief.
